Welcome to N17 Mr Hazard

Mauro Cetto, the Lille team mate of Eden Hazard has revealed that he believes that the Belgian wizard will be signing for Spurs this Summer. While this is not a binding contract it is not the first time positive noises that have been made about such a transfer. Earlier this week Harry Redknapp revealed that Daniel Levy will pay a large sum of money to secure the signing. On top of that Hazard himself as admitted that he would be interested in a move to White Hart Lane.

So what is it that makes Hazard the hottest property in football? He is one of the most skillful players in world football at the moment, seemingly having a trick to get him out of any situation. However, he is far more than just a glorified Adel Taarabt. He has shown great instinct in front of goal, contributing thirteen goals and eight assists to Lille's cause already this season, which given he is a winger is an impressive record. Unlike many of the current Spurs squad Hazard is comfortable with both feet, and that means he can play on either wing with ease, or even in the Van der Vaart role just behind the striker.

As a speed demon he would fit perfectly into an already rapid Spurs team, and would add extra trickery and an eye that we sometimes lack, especially against teams who park the bus. While Aaron Lennon is a very good player, and has done great things for Spurs, it has to be said that having Hazard on the right would make us an all round better outfit and could be enough to take us to the next level. I don't think there is a striker in the world who would not score twenty goals plus in a season, when he is being supplied by Bale from the left and Hazard from the right.

Although there will be interest in Hazard from all over Europe, we would all love to see him in a lillywhite Spurs shirt next season, it is now down to Harry to successfully sell Tottenham Hotspur Football Club to him and Levy to give himself and his agent enough finacial insentive to get him in.

There are not enough words in the world to describe the immense talent of Hazard, so it is far better to see if with your own eyes.
